I doubt very much anyone else will need this. I made this to store a brace I made for some simple sawhorses. The sawhorses are made of 2x4 and simple steel connecting bits you can purchase. I do not permanently attach the crosspiece of the sawhorse so that I can take it apart and store it folded up. The problem with this is that the legs can fold in while you are using it, making it less stable and harder to move or pickup.
To fix this I cut a brace at the bottom out of 1/2" pvc pipe that holds the legs open. The fit into a short hole drilled into the legs. It work perfectly, but I wanted a way to store the pvc brace when it was folded up. This is the 3D printed bit.
I could have made this simpler, but used the chance to learn to use CadQuery (https://github.com/dcowden/cadquery or https://github.com/CadQuery/cadquery - depending on the version). This is a python based way to make 3D parametric models, similar in some ways to OpenSCAD. I used it as an addon to FreeCAD, which seemed the easiest way to start. It worked well, and seemed a lot easier to me than OpenSCAD.
I attached the CadQuery script along with the stl. It should be easy to alter the dimensions if you want or need to.
