Description Ok here is new newest and most recently updated BambuLabs AMS PTFE adapter v2
It's highly recommended to use 3-4" of extra PTFE tubing to reduce filament rolls from jumping inside the AMS when they get lower in material
In progress: (currently in design and testing phase)
PN4-M10 fitting - completed PN4-M6 fitting - completed Universal fitting - completed TPU - in progress Modified M6 and M10 for better AMS clearances - in progress M10 and M6 versions are an extremely tight fit to the AMS lid
Print settings:
Materials PLA and PETG
Supports: None Walls 3 Top/Bottom layers: 4+ Layer height: 0.1mm (highly recommended for overhangs) Infill: not required Brim: that's up to you Materials TPU : Use the TPU model
Requires TPU calibration for cleaner overhangs (settings may VARY) Supports: None Walls 3 Top/Bottom layers: 4+ Layer height: 0.1mm (highly recommended for overhangs) Infill: not required Brim: that's up to you Fitting clip is included in the file (you'll have to push the fitting through the top) Materials ABS (currently testing)
Supports: None Walls 3 Top/Bottom layers: 4+ Layer height: 0.1mm (highly recommended for overhangs) Infill: not required Brim: that's up to you Scale X/Y @99% Small tab to the bed is all that's required
File naming:
BL - BambuLabs
PN - ## - Pneumatic Fitting / ## is OD size (ie PN-04 is 4mm OD)
M# - thread sizing ie M6/M10/etc.
PTFE - Type of tuning to be used
EXAMPLE: v2.#.# - PN-04-M6-PTFE
v2.(variant).(variant version) - Pneumatic fitting - 4mm OD - 6mm thread - PTFE tubing
Materials required:
PLA, PETG, or ABS PTFE 4mm OD (longer lengths off the adapters have been shown to work better with smaller reels and ones that are less than 75% full with less overall drag angles and snagging on edges of PTFE tubing) PT4-M6 or M10 based on versions below or
AMS feeder replacement part per feeder (we want the bottom pneumatic fitting and the screw) or
Universal: 4mm OD hole for short PTFE tube or for abrasion resistant material
Current Working Versions (see Rev. Notes below):
Version 2.1.1 (current)
x1 BambuLabs AMS feeder adapter - v2.1.1 Version 2.2.2 (current)
PT4-M6 - v2.2.1 - ARCHIVED PT4-M6 - v2.2.2 Version 2.3.2 (current)
PN4-M10 fitting - v2.3.1 - ARCHIVED PN4-M10 fitting - v2.3.2 Version 2.4.1- v2.4.1 (current)
Universal fitting - v2.4.1
E3D PT adapter PT-E3D-PN-04-PFTE_v2.5.1Assembly:
Install the adapter onto you 1st stage butter (it will be tight and you'll likely hear x2 small pops to seat it properly place the collar around the pneumatic fitting and gently slide it into the back hole and pess the fitting into the hole place screw into hole and use an allen key to secure it slide in PFTE tube until it is all the way in (its highly recommended to use 3-4" of extra PTFE tubing to reduce filament rolls from jumping inside the AMS when they get lower in material) Start printing and enjoy!

Notes:
this is a free to use model and you assume all risk and responsibly of installing the adapters into your units. This is designed yo help limit the risk of excessive wear and tear on the 1st buffers and isn't a permanent solution to the issue that it prevents. This isn't a BambuLabs sponsored product and is designed solely to help the community and to use at their own risk Not every material will work and its best to test your machine tolerance and fit as needed (this model has a 0.125mm tolerance and is considerably tight in all fit tests) Please like and share with your friends
- Keep in mind these designs consume time and materials and if you enjoy the work of creators in the community they appreciate the likes, downloads and if the event you wish to help contribute to their work fee free to donate !
Now get back to printing and have a great Day!
Revisions:
Jan 10:
Changed the original design to make it more durable and updated the locking clip for easier installation and strength for the screw Renamed the files and will have a consistent file system as new parts and adaptations are designed, tested and released Jan 15:
Tilted PT-04-M6-PTFE and M10 - 10 degrees into the AMS and it now clears the lid and closes without issue. (flat piece of edge needs to be facing the front)
