Why?Sometimes fountain pen is dry when you take it off the cap and don't write for a while. This happens to my Wingsung 3008, a cheap-as-something fountain pen. The pen writes nicely, crisp fine line and flow smoother than politician lies. However, if I stop writing and think for a few minutes, the tip will dry and it no longer write. An easy fix is to either wipe the back of the nib with cloth to make the ink flow again, or keep the pen inside the cap when it's not used. This model does the latter.
How?I make a pen holder that tilt likt 60 degree angle from the table. The hole is 16 mm with 6 mm cut out for a clip of the cap. The pen cap is actually 15mm but at the exact 15mm cut will be too tight for my Moonman C1 pen. Only the Wingsung will get it without scratching itself. So, 1 extra mm is enough to hold it.
