Replacement throttle for a vittorazi paramotor my buddy had. Note: This is a safety-critical thing - you don't want to be losing throttle over a body of water! Use at your own risk.
The original throttle handles have broken twice. For best results:
- You want to print it "flat" but will need supports because of the geometry. I configured the support angle to 45 degrees - generating more supports than usual.
- This is a good part for 100% infill. In my case I still cranked the wall thickness to 6 first
- I think ASA sucks as a functional filament because of it's crap layer adhesion. I wouldn't print it in that despite the purported UV properties and light weight. I wouldn't print it in PLA either because of it's low melting point. I skipped right past ABS in my filament journey owing to the similarity to ASA. Anyway, this left me with PA12-GF/CF seeming like the ideal filament here. PA6 doesn't do that great when wet which this is likely to experience - so PA12 seems like the move.
Here's the original onshape model.
