Easy 3D model/terrible name. Alliteration is fun until it's not.
This is the Bullet Bulb Build, Bro and Brodettes! It's a. simple setup for you to use in your own projects. The bulbs are very inexpensive and with the silicone sleeve are easy to add and remove for projects that don't need permanent lighting or projects that need light that won't fail (because you have lots of backups). Each bulb is less than fifty cents and the batteries can be replaced. Buy them in bulk too.
Here's how it works. I found some LED bulbs on Amazon that caught my attention. So I ordered a bag. These self-contained, water-resistant LEDs are very bright and last for 30 hours. That's a short amount of time for some applications, but a very long time for others. For example, I designed and 3D printed a tiny plastic piece that attaches to my e-bike. It holds one of these bulbs, and because the back of the bulb has that protrusion, it was easy to design a knob for twisting the light. The device I designed is simply a tiny lamp to illuminate my "dash" board (it's an analog readout) so I can see my buttons at night. I've had the same bulb for months because I only need it for a couple seconds at a time.
Anyway, This is a kit for remixing into your projects. It comes with a dimensionally-accurate lightbulb with built-in silicone sleeve, a bulb without the sleeve, a replica of the sleeve itself, and a collar that perfectly fits the bulb with the sleeve.
You can download the STL files, of course, but for those of you who work in most CAD programs, I am including SAT versions as well. I don't think they can import into TinkerCAD yet, which is not good. Maybe they updated for that. I'm not sure.
I used these to remix some ghosts that were popular last year. I suppose I should upload those as well. But not today.
Enjoy, and see what you can create.
