This is a very special indoor golf disc. It is the world's first overstable indoor driver. It is about 78mm in diameter and weighs under 9 grams in PLA.

This disc was interesting and not easy to design. Here is a blog post that talks about the physics behind flying discs and why some are overstable and others are understable: https://smalldiscgolf.org/the-falcon/

When I got my first one to print I was blown away at how well it flew! But, it was insanely hard to print. I had failure after failure after failure. I found out that my normal way of printing small golf discs just did not work for these. So, I set off on an adventure in varying different slicer parameters to try to find a way to reliably print it. The end result was that it needed organic supports, so there is only one .step file and only one .3mf file for this disc. It was sliced in PrusaSlicer 2.6 alpha 5.

Here is a blog post about how I figured out how to print this disc: https://smalldiscgolf.org/the-falcon-part-2/

This disc is also found in the Disc Library here: https://smalldiscgolf.org/disc-library/#falcon where you can also download this .step file and the .step files for other small golf discs for indoor and outdoor use. This particular disc, the Falcon, is is great indoors and outdoors. It's a must-have part any collection of small golf discs!

If you want to slice this yourself, you'll need to decide where to put supports. I created support blockers and enforces in a very narrow pattern. See the 14 second video among the images, or check here: https://youtu.be/6q0IFAzW6nE

This disc model does not include a print base. It isn't printed like the other small golf discs I've published. This one requires supports.
