Gridfinity Box Lite - Filament friendly bins
Need boxes to store and organize your bits and pieces - or just organize your messy drawer in your desk - then print some Gridfinity boxes! These are quick to print - yet sturdy enough for most usecases.
These lite bins shows the grid in the bottom of the boxes, instead of a flat surface. This saves A LOT of filament and printtime in the long run! But if you for some reasons need a flat bottom in the boxes, please see my Classic Boxes.
The Gridfinity system is made to fit into a grid as a base - and these boxes can be stacked if needed.
Types
There are 2 variants of boxes in this collection - with different benefits for you. If in doubt, try one of each and see for yourself what you like the best.
- 0.8 mm (the thin version - 0.8 mm walls - to save some filament)
- 1.2 mm (the stronger version - 1.2 mm walls - a little stronger for heavier items)
Sizes
They are organized in folders (and Bambu Project files) with different size categories for you to easier find the size you need. Within each folder are alle sizes of boxes.
Files are named by the default Gridfinity standard AxBxC-D
- A: Width of the box (each section is 42 mm)
- B: Length of the box (each section is 42 mm)
- C: Height of the box (each section is 7 mm - fx. 6 = 42 mm heigh)
- D: Thickness of walls (0.8 mm or 1.2 mm to be filament friendly or stronger) Boxes come in sizes from 1x1 (42x42 mm) to 6x6 (252x252 mm)
**Want more Gridfinity? YES! ** To organize the boxes in a drawer or on the desk, use the baseplates for the Gridfinity system.
Or maybe want a tray, pen holder, circular holder or more? - see my other projects!
Print instructions
These tips can maybe help
- Speed on first layer: 50% (or less) (To ensure good bed adhesion and perfect fit)
- Supports: NO supports. Happy printing!
And special thanks to Zack Freedman for starting the Gridfinity System!
