Replaces the frame of an IKEA Alex drawer so standard full-extension drawer sliders can be used.
This model is still in development and I don't recommend printing it until I test it fully, add instructions and remove this text!
The drawer slides are 18" full extension drawer slides. They are 17 3/4" long when closed 1 3/4" tall 1/2" thick
TODO: Add specs for various screws/bolts/nuts needed.
TODO: Add the solid print versions
TODO: Add pics with install steps.
There are also two templates for marking out where to attach the sliders to the frame. They pop into the existing screw holes.

Hi, do you still intend to add the specs for bolts & nuts, or the solid print versions? These, along with the install steps, would be useful for people considering printing this
Do you have a fusion 360 file for these parts?
i second that i want to make them solid as well as use the back wood to save on plastic
Love the idea, Especially for the narrow Alex units intended for desks. Weight is less of an issue.
love the idea but i feel like it just cost to much to add sliders to these its like half the price of one
I printed those, and they worked okay. I needed to edit them for the 3 lower drawers, which are higher so that the front dowels would fit. I've been using them for a couple of months, and they work pretty well. The screws I used are M4x8 pan head screws, with a washer, so that the screw won't block the slides.
The provided templates for drilling the pilot holes didn't work that great for me, cause they are very thin and therefore wobbly. I suggest to print them thicker.
Can you share the cad for these?
@gammagec how did the tests go?
