3D model description

I loaded this mechanical crustacean with tons of detail inside and out, and gave extra joints to make him super flexi. The Cyber Crab is an articulated "mostly" print-in-place model that needs NO supports. I say "mostly" because the shell top prints separately, and then you just snap it on.

Also Optimized for AMS, meaning if you are using a Bambu or Prusa with multiple colors, you should easily be able to use the fill tool for coloring. I have added 3mf files as well for convenience!

Like with all my Flexi's, I went through many iterations to make sure it was strong, and easy to print without supports.

Can I just say that my wife did a stellar job on the painting of this new one. Went a different direction with the stain and it looks just like a crab spaceship! Here is what she did:

125% STL print in Overture Matte Light Brown: https://a.co/d/9XA4ef9 Stained with Varathane Premium Midnight Blue (from Home Depot) Remove highlighted/raised areas with 90% alcohol Paint details with Vallejo Model Paint Metallics: https://a.co/d/9XA4ef9 Seal with Clear Polyurethane Spray: https://a.co/d/2u7WlMO 3D printing settings Easy Print with NO SUPPORTS

With the lid being separate you can easily mix and match colors. To attach it, simply set it in place and press the back down firmly. It will lock into place and not come off. I also designed a very satisfying click open and closed function to help the lid stay shut. No Supports (adding supports will hinder functionality) Mostly Print-in-place (shell top prints separately and pops in) 15% infill I always like to use 3 walls .16 layer height or better suggested Make sure you have good adhesion. I always use a glue stick. Gradient PLA works great
