Just got started with Gridfinity and figured I'd create some make up organizers. Most models I found stored things vertically, so here's my solution for fitting the essentials in a drawer. I made these by modeling my make up products in Blender and creating cutout bins with gridfinitygenerator.com. And then cleaning up non-manifold edges in Blender.
Measurements:
- Blush big: 2x2; fits 74mm x 74mm x 12.6mm (ca. 2.91″ × 2.91″ × 0.50″)
- Blush small: 2x2; fits 64.5mm x 64.5mm x 15.3mm (ca. 2.54″ × 2.54″ × 0.60″)
- Powder: 2x2; fits 66.8mm x 64.9mm x 21mm (ca. 2.63″ × 2.56″ × 0.83″), fits snugly
- Foundation: 3x2; fits 106.1mm x 32.5mm x 32.5mm (ca. 4.18″ × 1.28″ × 1.28″)
- Lipstick: 3x1; fits 86.2mm x 25mm x 26mm (ca. 3.39″ × 0.98″ × 1.02″)
- Mascara: 4x1; fits 130.6mm x 18.4mm x 18.4mm (ca. 5.14″ × 0.72″ × 0.72″), with plenty of wiggle room (see picture)
- Pencils: 4x1; fits 2 pencils of 135mm x 9.1mm x 9.1mm (ca. 5.31″ × 0.36″ × 0.36″)
- Powder brush: 5x2; fits ca. 166mm x 56mm (ca. 6.54" × 2.20")
- Blush brush: 5x1; fits ca. 164mm x 39mm (ca. 6.46" × 1.54")
Due to varying bin content and attention span during creation, Z heights come in two categories. Powder, foundation and pencils are slightly higher than the others.
