**3D PRINT SETTINGS:**
The shade prints upside-down.

It is meant to be printed in **vase mode (spiralize or spiral vase)**.

**For 0.8mm nozzle:**
• use 0.3 or 0.4mm/layer
• line width of 0.8 to 1mm
• 6 bottom layers

**A bark-inspired pendant lamp spot.**

**Instructions**
- Check the provided images for measurements.
- Get a E26 /E27 lamp socket kit with a screw-on attachment ring and a matching LED bulb. Under no circumstances use any other light than LED due to potential heat development! You can easily get the sockets with cord and canopy on Amazon, Ikea or your local hardware store.
- Print the design in either a light color to have the light shine through the hull or in an opaque color for spot-light only appliance.
- Insert the Socket (without bulb) from above and fix it in place with the ring.
- Fix the Canopy on your ceiling with the desired cord length.
- Insert the bulb.
- Enjoy your new lamp!

**Print settings**
Important: Do not use any other light source than LED with this Design. Depending on the strength of your LED certain parts of the print might warm up. Your filament has a certain heat deflection temperature that defines at which temperature deformation might occur. Make sure to build a safe product by verifying that the print is not affected by the amount of heat that your light source emits! If you are uncertain or have little experience in building electrified products, please consult a professional!
Usually, a strong LED bulb does not get hotter than 50 degrees Celsius while regular PLA does not deform under 58 degrees Celsius. Those are approximate numbers, and you need to verify that for your own product selection.

**3D PRINT SETTINGS:**
All STL files are already oriented properly.
You need to print 3 parts:
- one **shade**
- one **cylinder** in the same material as the shade
- one **base** for either E14 or E26/27 light sockets.
No supports or adhesion brim needed.


**THE SHADE:**
You can print the shade in **vase mode**.

For a **0.8mm nozzle**:
• activate "vase mode" (spiral vase or spiralize)
• Layer height: 0.3mm/layer (you'll get some holes/gaps if you use 0.4mm/layer or more)
• Line width: 1mm
• Bottom shell layers: 8

For a **0.4mm nozzle**:
• activate "vase mode" (spiral vase or spiralize)
• Layer height: 0.2mm/layer
• Line width: 1mm
• Bottom shell layers: 12


**CYLINDER:**
You can print the cylinder in "regular" or "vase mode".
If your print in "vase mode"  (spiral vase or spiralize), the flat round face will be plain. Which is totally fine.
**For 0.8mm nozzle** just make sure to use a **wall line width of 1mm.**
**For 0.4mm nozzle**, you can print with one wall loop of with a line width of 1mm, or print with 2 wall lines but it might take longer.
If you want that round face to have a **see-through pattern** like on my pictures, you need to:
- print in regular mode
- set top and bottom face layers to 0
- select an infill pattern of your choice (gyroid 35% on my pictures)
- set line width to 1mm
- set wall generator to "arachne".


**BASE:**
No particular tricks for the base.
Just make sure to pick the version you need, either E14 or E26/27.
I used a 0.4mm nozzle, 0.2mm per layer and 15% infill.
Printed in PLA.

Faces of Death - Vase Mode Pendant Light, Bambu 3MF

As you may have noticed — I've had a slight obsession with lighting recently. The Quilted Planter has been super popular so I thought I'd throw that pattern on a pendant light! This is a quick print in vase mode. The 9.5" pendant takes 3h 30m to print and the 4.5" size takes 1h 44m.

These can also be printed regularly with an infill. This will obviously take much longer but they'll be less fragile.

Note that you must **only use LED bulbs (9 watts max)** as traditional bulbs can get pretty hot and could cause damage to the plastic. I like multi color smart bulbs that I can control with my phone, but any standard 9W LED bulb will do.

**Tips for printing:**
If printing the shade in vase mode with a .4 nozzle at .2mm layer height — use 13 bottom shell layers. You can adjust these if you're printing with a different size nozzle or layer height. The extra bottom shell layers force the shade supports to print with an infill, then start printing in vase mode the rest of the way up.

**Supports**
None needed!

**Scaling**
I wouldn't recommend scaling this one since it perfectly fits the pendant light socket.

**Orientation**
Should be oriented with the open side facing up.

Fourth and last pendant light of the [ARYZ collection](https://cults3d.com/en/design-collections/Charles_Regaud/aryz-lamps) and is, of course, based on the "divide / " symbol.

Every evening, my children and I sit together over their arithmetic homework — adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing. The symbols started to dance in my mind, and I couldn’t help turning them into a collection of 3D-printable pendant lights that I called ARYZ, short for arithmetics.

This lamp prints surprisingly fast for its size and diffuses light beautifully.

It is **available in large (Ø254mm) and medium (Ø209mm) versions**, to accommodate most common printers out there, and it's meant to be used with "E26/27 light bulb sockets".

this is a big ceiling lamp that's not too difficult to put together.

**You need:**
60 Connectors
15 Triangle Pieces
11 Center Pieces
5 Final Triangle Pieces
1 Top Piece
1 Bottom Socket Holder
1 Top Socket Holder

The 3mf has all parts you need, the All.STL too.

You also need to buy a socket and a bulb.

**Print Settings:**
Standard no supports. But with a brim on all Lamp parts. The Connectors and the Socket Holders don't need a brim.

**Technical Data:**
The lamp takes roughly, 2000g of Filament and 68h to print (3 days).

A simple, two tone pendant light. It prints in two parts, an outside shell and an inside shell. The inside shell nests perfectly inside the outside one and should be glued in place.

**Scaling**
I wouldn't recommend scaling this one since it perfectly fits the pendant light.

Both shells should print upside down with their tops on the build plate. See the fourth image on this post for an example.

I'm realizing most of my planter designs would also make great pendant lights, so here's a pendant light version of the Grid!

This one **does not work out in vase mode**, so it needs to be printed normally with an infill. I used a 15% grid infill and 2 walls.

The ARYZ Minus is the second born of the [ARYZ collection](https://cults3d.com/en/design-collections/Charles_Regaud/aryz-lamps) and is, of course, based on the "minus - " symbol.

Every evening, my children and I sit together over their arithmetic homework — adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing. The symbols started to dance in my mind, and I couldn’t help turning them into a collection of 3D-printable pendant lights that I called ARYZ, short for arithmetics.

This lamp prints surprisingly fast for its size and diffuses light beautifully.

It is **available in large (Ø254mm) and medium (Ø209mm) versions**, to accommodate most common printers out there, and it's meant to be used with "E26/27 light bulb sockets".

ARYZ Plus | Pendant light E26/27

**SAN  |  Pendant Light E27 & E26 fast print**

Meet the SAN pendant light, using 3D printed wickering technique.
It is perfect as a dining room pendant.

Any 3D printer can print it without exceptional print settings and a regular 0.4mm nozzle.

This lamp works with **E27** and **E26** socket screws.

It comes in 2 version/sizes.
The large one has a diameter of 256mm.
The smaller one has a diameter of 208mm.

Some of you will wonder why the ring for the light bulbe in the middle of the top section looks like two half circle interlocking each other.
The reason isn't mechanical, but I designed it this way to have a continuous inner loop, so a cleaner first layer and faster print.
The printer doesn't have to create several loops and jump between them, leaving blobs and causing printing issues.
Instead, the inner loop is all uninterrupted and will give you a much cleaner and faster first layer.

The top section prints upside-up.
The middle and bottom sections print **upside-down**.
(the STL files are all already oriented properly)
No need for supports, infill or brim.

For BambuLab users, turn on "Arachne" mode in the "Wall Generator" settings.
Otherwise Bambu Studio will detect some of the weave layers as empty.

**Layer height:** 0.2 or 0.3mm/layer (lamps in the pictures were printed in 0.3mm/layer)
**Wall line count:** 2
**Build adhesion type:** None. If you have adhesion issues, you can add a 5~6mm brim.
