After creating a bell with this pattern (see Diamond Christmas Bell, I wanted to see what it would look like as a ball. I loved it, so I had to share it with you. It printed easily for me with just a little support. It looks great with multi-color PLA, but it'll also look great in solid colored PLA (opaque or transparent).

If you look at the community uploads, one photo shows the ornament printed with Matterhacker's Quantum Raspberry Gold. The other shows Matterhacker's Translucent Red.
PRINT SETTINGS
- Walls: 0.4 - 0.8 mm (I made the walls of the ball 2 lines thick and the walls of the stem 1 line thick).
- Layer Thickness: 0.15 mm recommended. Anything from 0.1 - 0.2 mm should look good.
- Infill: None. Seriously. It doesn't need it. It just adds weight and print time.
- Rafts/Brim: I didn't use either.
- Supports: I added normal supports with an overhang angle of 56 degrees. It holds the ball to the printing plate and supports the extreme overhangs at the base without adding a lot of time to the print.
