This is another book-ish print (for those of you here for HueForges, I promise, there's more of that too, really!)

This once more, is inspired by Sarah J Maas, but not ACOTAR this time. But, still kind of adjacent. Luna's Horn is said to be the fourth Dread Trove item (along with the Harp, Crown and Mask), that had been lost for thousands of years.

And then stuff happens in Crescent City.

And then I made it in Nomad and printed it. XD

This is a very easy print. Print the horn in the orientation that its in (in the 3MF file). It will have two supports, one on the outer overhang and one for the hollow insides. I've printed about 6 of these now, and the supports have just peeled off easily. The base and gold cuff are on a separate plate for your convenience.

I printed the horn in a marble PETG (the book description is that it's made of bone but I didn't have bone). And the gold cuff and stand in silk PLA. However, please feel free to print it however you want! This really is an easy print - total of maybe 3 or 4 hours (I had to slow my print down because of the PETG, but if you use PLA, you probably can speed it up!

Recommended settings:

  • 0.2mm layer height
  • 2 walls
  • 8% Crosshatch infill
  • 5 top, 3 bottoms
  • I painted the seams to be on the underside of the horn, but you can do what you like!
  • Tree supports (default), on build plate only, remove small overhangs
  • Support brim (initial layer expansion) - 7mm
  • 0.3 top and bottom z distance
