Any fans of Firefly / Serenity out there? It was a show that I was OBSESSED with when it was airing, and I was devastated when it got cancelled.
I present to you - this dual lithophane filament painting of the characters from the show. It looks good enough without being backlit (see the attached photo). However, if you decide to light it up from the back or use TheCraftyMaker's shadow box frame and line some LED lights behind it - it looks AMAZING too.
The 3MF file will work for those of you using Bambu Studio and already has the filament swaps loaded in.
If you are using the STL please follow the instructions below:
Print Instructions: Print at 100% infill with a layer height of 0.04mm with a base layer of 0.16mm
Filaments Used:
- PLA BambuLab Basic Jade White Transmission Distance: 5.8
- PLA CC3D Lemon Yellow Transmission Distance: 6.8
- PLA+ Sunlu Coffee Transmission Distance: 1.8
- PLA Chrominal Chestnut Brown Transmission Distance: 3.5
Swap Instructions:
- Start with Jade White
- At layer #17 (0.8mm) swap to Lemon Yellow
- At layer #24 (1.08mm) swap to Coffee
- At layer #28 (1.24mm) swap to Chestnut Brown for the rest.
