I wanted to make something that combines engineering and art. When the Mechnolia's mid-body is turned, all eight petals open and close. This project was actually printed with multiple printers. I printed all of the gear parts with 100% infill with a .1mm layer height. I printed the large petals with 5% infill with a .2mm layer height.
