General This is a travel or home accessory allowing you to get everything from a toothpaste tube! It features a ratcheting mechanism, markers to know which way to turn, a tactile knob to twist, as well as a threaded top for a clean and secure look!

Assembly

  • Follow the included pictures
  • thread the center column through the bottom knob. Use a little force to get it to sit flush against the bottom knob.
  • Place the ratcheting mechanism onto the the center column with the taller fins face down
  • thread the outer tube onto the center column and make sure the teeth align with the ratcheting mechanism. This bottom knob will hang over the outer tube slightly for aesthetics
  • Thread the top cap onto the thread at the top of the center column, turn until it is snug. The screw threads should stop you from being able to overtighten it and introduce drag on the ratcheting mechanism, but if there is drag, unscrew the top cap slightly.

Usage

  • Line up the center column slit with the outer tube slit

  • Put the toothpaste tube through the thinner outer tube slit, and thread it through the center column slit

  • Start ratcheting slowly to make sure the toothpaste tube doesn't slip out of the center column

  • To release your toothpaste tube, just unscrew the top enough to disengage the ratcheting mechanism at the bottom, and unwind your tube until you can pull it out.

Printing

  • 5-piece print, but can usually be done on 1 plate
  • The 3mf included already has all parts oriented and random seems applied to parts that need it
  • You need to make sure supports are enabled, there are a few parts with overhangs that were unavoidable.
  • You need to make sure the threads on the center column are printed fully! A outer/inner wall of 0.4mm seems to be fine for me, but double check by checking the slicer preview page and zooming in on the center column threads.
  • layer height: 0.2mm
