Calamity Toolhead - Chube Compact Integration (CPAP)

This model is restricted by licensing terms.

Integrate the Chube Compact with your Calamity and CPAP setup!

CPAP setup currently only works with the LGX Lite Pro. CAD is included if you want to undertake updating the CPAP interface to allow more clearance.

General I personally find the Chube Compact to be the perfect hotend for the V2.4/Doomcube - light, short, and the flow isn't overkill for the motion system. That being said, I've hit 64mm3/s on with the Chube Compact

Background Although Chube Compact follows the Dragon hotend mounting pattern, the Calamity toolhead expects M2.5 screws, not M3, so the required screws don't fit in the available Dragon cutouts on the toolhead plate. You can machine new cutouts yourself if you want, but I did not want to do that. Hence, the complicated spacer. This has been running this setup for ~40 hours without issue.

Hardware

  • 8~ M3 heat-set inserts You'll need an assortment of BHCS and SHCS screws, from 5-6mm to 8-10mm

Stuck?

  • CAD is included if you want to tweak anything or need to reference it for the spacer setup.
  • If you need more help, ask in the Calamity Toolhead group in the Luke's Lab discord and I'll help you out

Happy printing!
