Hextraction - Mini Skybridge Tile
I was inspired by dapperrogue's skybridge tile. So I decided to make a smaller-scale version of it that's easier to assemble. This baby version has just one little bridge that can either drop around to a lower tile on the left side of the board or reach up to a tile on the right side. (And vice versa for the mirrored version.)
The rules are the same as for the original skybridge tile so if you need a rules card, print that one. Those rules are: "Limit: Must play with the bridge suspended off the edge of the board." If you want the piece to be more flexible and powerful, you could play with these rules instead: "Limit: Must be placed with the bridge open. When a ball falls under the bridge: Destroy this." With those rules you can build the tile almost anywhere on the board. That rules card is left as an exercise for the downloader.
Required Materials:
- Two M2x4mm screws (M2x6mm screws should work too)
- Two M2x6mm screws
- Two 6mm x 2mm magnets
- Glue
Printing:
- One Body
- One Bridge, print with supports
- Two Links Make sure the body and the bridge are both for the same direction.
Assembly:
- (Optional) Use a round file to clear out any debris in the holes in the links.
- Attach the two links to the body using the M2x6mm screws.
- Attach the links to the bridge using the M2x4mm screws.
- Adjust the tightness of the screws so that the bridge opens easily but doesn't move on its own.
- Glue the magnets into the slots on the body and bridge. Make sure to get the polarities right.
If you like this tile, I have a bunch more on my profile!
