Get any monocular head-mounted display in front of your eye, and the rest out of the picture! Features a neck pad for comfortable stability, a fully articulated arm for positioning, and a cable channel to route wires over your ear.

I used this to turn an Epson Moverio BT-40 into the Optigon wearable I use in my YouTube videos. Watch the video to see the design come together!

I strongly recommend printing the Headband in polycarbonate, PLA, a carbon-fiber filament, or resin. Print the Neck Pad in TPU, as soft as you dare. Print the rest in any filament, though carbon-fiber and matte filaments will be less likely to jiggle loose.

Just pop the Ball Mount into the Socket Segment, sink heat-set inserts into the Neck Pad Clip and Swivel Segment, assemble, and screw your display onto the Ball Mount. If you have a particularly long face* you can add one or more Extension Segments.

Everything mounts with M2 nuts and countersunk screws. I recommend buying a kit like this one. Don't forget the heat-set inserts! Good filaments include carbon-fiber PETG and NinjaTek TPE.

If the headband doesn't fit well, feel free to customize the Fusion 360 file. The sketch "Headband Shape" is all you need to play with - it should be pretty well-behaved.

Good luck!

*Why the long face? 🤣
