Hextraction Teleport Tile
Beam your balls with this gravity-defying combo tile for Hextraction, the hackable, 3D-printable board game.
This wombo combo lets a ball leap around the board, opening intricate new routes to victory. I consider it one of the most important tiles in the game - just throwing a few into the pool makes every slot on the board into relevant territory. It has the most rules of any tile in my "core set," but the payoff is worth it.
This tile is also a great introduction to effects - it's got a Limit, a Trigger, and an On Play effect in the form of the combo.
The Teleport Tile is a combo - print both tiles and both cards. The two sub-tile pieces should nest smoothly and remain tightly clasped. For authenticity, print the In parts in light blue, and the Out parts in bright orange.
Remember to sign both halves, so you can reassemble your combos after the game!

All of my Hextraction tiles have a built-in sacrificial support under each notch - remember to snap it off after printing. Enable the brim if these detach from the bed.
Hextraction is a 3D-printable, modder-friendly board game designed by me, Zack Freedman of Voidstar Lab. In addition to tiles, you'll also need 10mm steel balls or 3/8" slingshot ammo and a game board. To learn the rules and how to get started, watch the Hextraction video!
Hextraction is absolutely free - it's free of charge - all of my models are here on Thangs, commercial use allowed. It's free-form - you can play with any number of opponents, even zero. It's free to modify - you can create your own tiles and configure your own board.

Hey, none of the fusion links work anymore.
its too tight, its so hard to open I have to pry it open with wire cutters
adjust tolerances
This stacking idea is nice! Some tolerances are very tight and that makes it hard to pull apart. If you search here in thangs you will find versions that have been adjusted. You might want to print those out to make it less fiddly. There also seems to be an export bug that gives the handle pocket on the out part an extra edge to make it not work.
Hey, the top of the rules text for the out tile is on the same layer as a visible part of the tile picture, meaning I can't use black filament for it without it looking wrong.
Hey Zach, I'd like to mod this tile, a bit, but the Fusion link only has the tile rules, not the actual tiles. Can you help me out?
It is in the file. It is just hidden. I was able to file it and modify it a little. seems to work well now.
They're definitely very tight, but after enough careful fiddling I eventually got them to get together without breaking any of them. Very scared of breaking them but once it worked a few times they got smoothed out and it's good so far. Also the little leg things on the in tile can break off really easily, watch out.
These things are far too tight, I would love the tolerances to be a bit looser. Not happening on my Ender 3
