Due to Selina's ancestry, she was never accepted into regular society. Rather, many "decent" folk always presumed she was up to no good whenever they caught sight of her. Instead of trying to dodge these assumptions, Selina chose to lean into them, and developed the keen abilities of a rogue and ruffian.
