Cut away the wall from the beard with a knife.

Screw the beard into the hat. Use the help tool if the fit is tight.

Use a hair dryer/hot air gun to slowly heat up the beard while you use a hand to form it (use lowest setting). It's also possible to use warm water.

Insert the spring into the beard and then the base.
