This bookmark is based on the story of Bhagwan Hanuman chasing the Sun as a child from the Hindu Epic Ramayana.

According to the legend, Hanuman, the devoted follower of Bhagwan Rama, was born with extraordinary powers. As a child, he was mischievous and playful.

One day, he mistook the sun for a ripe fruit in the sky and, being hungry, decided to catch and eat it. Hanuman leapt into the air with great speed and strength, determined to reach the glowing sun. His pursuit caused concern among the gods. As Hanuman soared towards the Sun, the celestial beings worried that he might cause harm to the universe by swallowing the sun, thus plunging the world into darkness.

Indra, the king of the gods, intervened to stop Hanuman. He hurled his powerful weapon, the Vajra (thunderbolt), at Hanuman, striking him on the jaw and causing him to fall to the ground unconscious. As a result of this blow, Hanuman's jaw (known as hanu in Sanskrit) was damaged, and this is how he earned the name "Hanuman."

Seeing his beloved child injured, Hanuman's father, Vayu, the wind god, became enraged and withdrew all air from the universe, threatening to suffocate all living beings. To appease Vayu and restore balance, the gods gathered and blessed Hanuman with various boons. He was granted invincibility, immense strength, and the ability to change his form at will.

This story not only highlights Hanuman's innocence and strength but also serves as an important moment in his journey, where he gains divine blessings and powers that later help him play a crucial role in Bhagwan Rama's quest to rescue Sita in the Ramayana.
