Hi, I think that may be due to how the file is converted when downloaded. I recommend downloading the STEP file version rather than the STL. The STEP file version should have smooth curves.

Hi! I've added an image to this file that shows the orientation I recommend. You will need to add support underneath the lid but this orientation will ensure the top prints cleanly. Thanks!
Is there a way to separate the lid from the box, like a file for each? I mean, can it print in place? It seems like it wouldn't be able to keep the lid separate from the box.

Hi, if you download the file in STEP format you should be able to seperate the two parts in your slicer software. To make it easier I’ll upload a version with the two parts separated soon. Thanks for the feedback!
Yeah I still can't figure out how to do it, but then again, I haven't been doing this long.
Hey, I said the same issue. Go to https://www.makexyz.com/convert/step-to-stl, upload the STEP files, it'll change them to stl. Best part it's FREE. Second best part, they don't ask for your information. Good luck!
