"Zen Column: a minimal Vase"
I call this piece “Zen Column” — a name that perfectly captures its calm, balanced, and sculptural presence. This vase was a personal experiment where design met texture, and the result completely exceeded my expectations.
To bring it to life, I combined the fuzzy skin effect with a wood-textured filament. The fuzzy skin added a subtle, organic roughness to the surface, while the filament brought a natural grain that mimics the feel of real wood. Together, they created an incredibly realistic finish, blurring the line between handcrafted and 3D printed.
One of the things I enjoyed most during the process was the gentle scent of wood released while printing — a small but pleasant detail that made the experience even more satisfying. The finished piece feels right at home in modern, elegant, and minimal interiors, adding a sense of calm sophistication wherever it’s placed.
