These horns were a request, and their spiky, extra textured surface creates tons of interest (and surface area, which explains the cost and weight of these horns). They could be the perfect addition to your project, be it for your tiefling, demon, devil, monster, faun, or fey costume, for decoration, or as part of a prop! These can touch my ears in some positions on the headband, but you can rotate them or place them higher or lower on the headband as you see fit if it bothers you.
