1:144 Rumpler 6B1
This is a 1:144 scale model of a German Rumpler 6B1 seaplane. Since many painters choose their own mounting system, no peg is included on the plane. Pegs can be purchased separately in the Accessories section of this catalog.
The Rumpler 6B1 was a seaplane based on the successful Rumpler C.I. It was changed into a single-seater (which helped to compensate for the weight of the floats), and all but the three prototypes had the rounded tail of the Rumpler C.IV. A single synchronized LMG08 was mounted. Thirty-five production planes were built before it was replaced in production by the twin-gunned 6B2. But single-seat planes had by then fallen out of favor with the German Navy, so the latter was mostly used for training purposes. Production was slow and the last 6B1 was delivered in May 1917.
