1:144 Breguet 5
This is a 1:144 scale model of a Breguet 5 escort/ground-attack plane with the 37mm Hotchkiss cannon. A bomber version armed with a machine gun version is also available. Since many painters choose their own mounting system, no peg is included on the plane. Pegs can be purchased separately in the Accessories section of this catalog.
The Breguet 5 was a cannon-armed version of the Breguet-Michelin bombers intended for escort, intercepting of enemy fighters, and ground attack. Two hundred were built before it was realized they were even slower than the bombers and useless in fighter combat. Some were converted to bombing (with a machine gun rather than a cannon) or ground attack duty. Variants include the Breguet 6, Breguet 9, and Breguet 12.
