1:144 Anatra D
This is a 1:144 scale model of a Russian Anatra D Anade. Since many painters choose their own mounting system, no peg is included on the plane. Pegs can be purchased separately in the Accessories section of this catalog.
Russia's Anatra D Anade was accepted into service at the end of May, 1916. It was a two-seat reconnaissance plane powered by the 100hp Gnome Monosoupape rotary engine. Though some 780 were ordered, the orders were cancelled after 205 were completed due to accidents related to poor workmanship or materials. In April 1917, some 76 were at the front, but their numbers dwindled over the coming months until the October revolution. After October 1917, the Anade likely served in the Russian Civil War.
