I have designed a battery holder in the shape of a classic cartoon rocket. This has been done for ease of printing, provision of large internal volume and exterior aesthetics.

The AA batteries modelled on were 14mm in diameter so to allow for tolerances the holes in the rocket are 15.5mm in diameter.

The rocket itself is 110mm wide, 94mm deep and 192mm tall.

As well as being an interesting project which I had been wanting to tackle for a while, I also intend on entering this model into the #FunctionalArt competition here on Thangs.
