Dag And Pud - The Easter Bilby and his Duckling Friend!

In collaboration with creatrixbritt's Easter Bilby Campaign, I present our Easter Bilby. Dag and Pud. Dag is ready with his Painted Easter Eggs along with his faithful bestie Pud.
Bilby's are actually endangered. First and foremost, this project is to help raise awareness and promote the Save the Bilby Fund

As I explored this character for this project, I came to discover how fascinating these critters are. They are marsupials, with a blue-grey-silver silky fur. Like kangaroos, but their pouches are upside down! That way they don't fill them with dirt as they dig. They are in the Bandicoot family and burrow large spiral-shaped burrows up to 3 meters long.
As they dig, they actually help the environment with irrigation, seed collection and collecting debris. They are considered 'ecosystem engineers'.
What I also find interesting is how big their front paws are. Clearly for digging, but they move up to 1.5 tonnes of earth per kilogram of body weight per year!
Then their ears. Bilby's ears are actually bare. It helps them stay cool in the hot Australian heat. That's why their ears are so large, it's their heat exchange.
