This is a model of a traditional Japanese Toro Lantern that is scaled down to fit into a planter.

I've always appreciated the design of Toro Lanterns and wanted one for myself, however, living in an apartment makes that an unrealistic goal. That led me to create a scaled down version that can fit in some of my pots, most notably fitting into my Ficus Ginseng Bonsai tree (pictured above). Although this isn't the same as a true life-size lantern, this was close enough for me!

There are tiny dowels on the bottom half that align with tiny holes in the top half of the lantern. These can be used to help you guide the pieces together if printing individually.

Printed with PLA, then spray painted with a chrome metallic spray paint. Used loctite to seal the two pieces together.
