Deck out your Nintendo Switch in style! Now introducing the Hexadock by 3D File Pro.
This multi-piece assembly will add a whole new level of swag to your gaming setup for your Nintendo Switch. The primary GIF and first 3 pictures are the default configuration for this assembly, but I have included several options so you can customize it to your own aesthetic. I chose to make this a multi-piece build so you can customize the colors any way you want with even a single extruder printer.
I've also included enough extra space for a string of LED lights to run just in front of the switch between the dock. I even found a USB powered string of LED lights that will run directly from the USB ports on the Switch Dock. https://amzn.to/3BAYi3D
Print everything laying flat on the print bed. The base pieces do not require supports and print in two pieces to accommodate small format printers. I printed this entire model on a Prusa Mini and it came out flawlessly.
The panels slide into slots in the base. The large hexes connect to stilts that pressure fit into slots in the base. I've included a picture of optional pieces if you want a giant center piece hex which attaches to the front with pegs. If you want to print yours without the peg holes I've also included an optional base without them. I've also included some shorter risers for the rear hexes in case you don't have the clearance behind your switch for the extra display height. You can use this model without them entirely if you want as well.
I recommend using some super glue on pieces of this once it's assembled to make sure it stays perfectly situated, but it is not required. You will definitely need glue for the optional front pieces, though. I guarantee fitment and integrity of all my models! If you have any trouble with assembly or printing please contact me immediately and I will help you resolve any problems you may have.
