Every garden needs two basic tools; A stem trimmer/cutter and a thorn remover.

When the challenge was announced and the topic was chosen to be #garden, I knew from the beginning that these two are the must design tools.

Thus, why buy stuff, when you can print it.

Thorn Cutter: Who doesn't like the beautiful smell of a rose, but the thorns can be a prick! (pun intended) Thus, a compliant thorn remover for the #garden challenge; with this tool, one can always stay safe from the thorns.

Shear pliers: It's a well known fact that regular trimming and grooming is essential for a healthy growth of a plant, thus providing with a compliant shear plier for the #garden challenge. The best part is, unlike the industrial cutters, which have 2 components joined together with a pin, this is a single piece of design inspired by the concept of compliant mechanism, which not only makes it easy to use without any assembly, but also serves as a good example to highlight the benefits of the 3D printing process which circumnavigates the complexity and eliminates the use of assemblies, whilst providing new and personalized experience.
