intermediate bulk container or IBC in HO scale (1:87). This type of container is used for transporting and storing all kinds of liquids, from water to food to dangerous chemicals.

This set contains a solid model, one hollow model and one hollow model with slopes at the top, to optimize for resin printing the flat top.

This one looks difficult but is really easy to paint. Some tips:

  1. After cleaning the raw model paint the inside the color of the tank. The inside? Yes I mean the inside. Paint on the inside will hide any spots you missed on the outside.
  2. Paint the stainless steel grid on the outside. I used silver paint. It really does not matter if you paint outside the lines, the next step will take care of that.
  3. When the silver paint is dry, paint the whole thing white (or any other color you want the tank to be). Slap paint all over the sides. Then, immediately, rub off all excess paint with a cloth. This will wipe the silver bits clean and leave the white paint between the silver bits. Then paint the top white between the silver lines.
  4. Paint the pallet on the bottom. (grey or any other color you like)
