Raised Snap - Countersink Flush Mount

This model is restricted by licensing terms.

This part adds a countersink into a Multiboard Raised Snaps so a Tile can be screwed onto a surface.

Keep in mind, your tiles will not be removable unless you remove the screws. For a removable flush-mounted board, use the Snap (DS Part A) - ScrewOn Flush Mounts.

Printing Guidelines:

Use 3 perimeter wall thickness, 0.2 mm layer height, 15% infill, and no supports. Apart from that, use your printer's default settings.

The printing orientation is as provided in the file. Make sure the downloaded files are .STL. This part has been designed with a tolerance of 0.25 mm. Your printer will need to be able to bridge gaps of up to 30 mm for some designs.

This bolt does not work. The only way to connect "Thread Base, Multigrid Bin" to "Base Plate" is "Internal Bin Stacking Pin"! "8·2 mm Screw-In Fastener" is too short it does not hold.

This has a critical design flaw. As you tighten a screw into the countersunk hole it unscrews from the snap and rest of the mulitboard. It needs be redesigned to screw into the front or lock into the snap and not spin once installed.

You should use thinner screws that don't bite into the mount.

I don't understand how. Based on the look of this it's not threaded. How can turning the screw unscrew it from the snap?

A quick fix I think would be just to mirror the pieces? Then it'd thread the opposite way, and tightening the screw would also tighten the bolt?

Is there a cap for this, so you can hide the screw?

Is there a version with a 6.5mm offset to match the wall surface mounts that the DS parts use for mounting?

What metric fastener size is suggested for this part?

What are the recommended screws?

I don't get the sense of this part. Its a little longer than the flush version but the MB is not fixed. When screwed down it is not in a fixed position but can slide forth and back. For a raised snap there should be some way to hold the MB at a given distance from mounting surface. as it is I see no use for it.
