MetalGrid75 4mm Twist-Lock

The main component for this metalgrid system. This can mount the metalgrid to the wall while also holding spool holders and any other item you like. The threads are M12

Another pegboard system!!! Just what you needed!!..... No plastic panels to print here. Metal grid is from a hardware store. You just print the fixings. The metalgrid brings a whole new level of strength to a pegboard system. The panel is metal; everything else is 3d printed. There seems to be two general size metal grids in hardware stores. Theres 75mm squares with 4mm wire & 50mm squares with 3mm wire. This is for the 75mm squares grid. Where I live, it is listed as "Galvd Weld Mesh 8Ft x 4Ft x 75 x 4mm (8g)".

Reason:

This probably is a niche system, but I have used the Honeycomb Storage Wall and the Multiboard system. There is no need for printing tonnes of panels and putting lots of screws holes in your wall. This system is set and forget. It's one big panel.

I have designed the brackets for this metal grid and I can say for sure; this is the most solid "pegboard" system I have used. No question!

Granted its not a full 3D printed system...But sure so what? The fun part is making the custom 3d printed pegboard holders for your tools and equipment.

The "resolution" of the multiboard in my opinion is overkill. You dont need so many hole slots. Every 50mm gap would be enough. Look at a standard handheld drill tool on the multiboard; There are about 100 holes in that drill area and only 2 actual holes used to mount the drill bracket.

Benefit:

Metal will always be stronger than plastic. No more panels warping with heavy items. Dynamically add peg holes where needed. Large spool holders only use 2 heavy duty twist-lock pegs for each bracket. Compatible with standard pegboard/multiboard hooks. Easier to install (no need for front and back assembly parts)

Description:

I have two standards of clip-on peg panels. Heavy duty and light duty.

Heavy duty can be for mounting the actual metal grid to the wall, spool brackets and power tools holders.

The light duty peg panels (I have 2 variations) are for multiboard compatible hooks/clips 25mm hole distance. The other variation is a 12mm screw thread. These are good for trays and can holders.

So yes; 3 basic parts will get you up and running with this super strong pegboard system.

Actual Mesh:

The hardest part is getting the actual mesh panels home. A quote from the store here in Ireland: Ideal for a variety of applications, the Heavy Galvanised Weld Mesh Sheet is a versatile and durable material. Whether you are looking to secure an area, create fencing, or build a sturdy structure, this mesh sheet provides the strength and reliability you need. The galvanised coating ensures resistance to corrosion, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. With its sturdy construction, this weld mesh sheet is designed to withstand the elements and maintain its integrity over time. Enhance your projects with the Heavy Galvanised Weld Mesh Sheet for a reliable and long-lasting solution.

I was unable to fit the full panel in my vehicle; so I cut it in half at the hardware store. I purchased a bolt cutters for this. It was about €45 (the cost of 2 or 3 of filament rolls.) The thickness of the crosswire is 4mm. (H2440 x W1220 x Opening 75mm Crosswire 4mm)
