Easter Egg Cylinder Maze Gift Container

This design blends playful interaction with seasonal aesthetics, turning a classic Easter egg shape into a clever puzzle experience. Inspired by traditional labyrinth toys and the excitement of hidden surprises, the piece transforms a simple gift container into something far more engaging. Instead of simply opening an egg, the user must solve it—adding a sense of curiosity, challenge, and reward. The smooth, layered egg exterior gives it a clean and festive look, while hiding the intricate maze mechanics within. It captures that familiar Easter joy, but with a twist that makes it memorable and interactive. The design consists of a cylindrical maze core and an outer egg-shaped shell that encloses it. The inner cylinder features a continuous maze path that must be navigated to unlock the container and access the hollow center, which is perfect for small gifts, candy, or surprises. A unique feature of this design is the one-way closing path. This allows the user to quickly reassemble and lock the container without needing to solve the maze again—ideal for repeated use or gifting scenarios. However, reopening always requires completing the maze, preserving the challenge. The internal cavity is spacious enough for small items, making the design both a functional container and an engaging puzzle toy. This design is also part of a personal challenge I’m doing for the year 2026: designing and releasing a brand new 3D printable model every single day for an entire year. Each design will explore a different idea—some practical, some playful, some reflective. If you enjoy following creative processes, testing new designs, or simply watching ideas turn into physical objects, feel free to follow along and join me on this 365-day journey.
