I printed this some time ago, and use it every day.
You have to slide them together from the side. They won't line up trying to push the top straight down on the base.
I don't know if that'.s my PLA warping hard or anything, but the gears are completely misaligned. It looks fine in CAD though
The gears do not line up on this model, printed at 100% without any modifications and 3-4 of the gears poorly fit in a few orientations.
