Fresh Air Fan, Freaking Fabulous!
The stock Bambu Lab X1 / P1 fan location is... terrible. It doesn't get fresh air and is difficult to reach. This mod is a printable mount to install a 40mm fan closer to the back panel vent so it can be a Fresh Air Fan! You can use the original 40mm or change to another (quieter & more reliable) option. We recommend the Noctua 40mm x 20mm fan for its performance and quite sound profile.
Could be used in any application where you need additional cooling & can fit it. I just designed it with this Bambu application in mind.
NOTE: The Bambu fan is 4-wire PWM & 5V! TAKE CARE to wire a replacement fan properly & choose the proper fan voltage. WE ARE NOT respsonible for damage to your machine! We cannot garauntee that Bambu has not changed something about the wiring & fan design that may pose a danger to your electronics with aftermarket fan options! They change things all the time, it is hard to keep up.
Installation Steps - Reference Bambu Fan Replacement for more info :
- Remove Rear Panel
- Print the version you need (20 or 10mm depending on your fan choice)
- Insert M3 Heat Inserts on Underside (see photos)
- Apply VHB Tape to the area marked in RED on the Rendered image.
- Install Fan to Bracket with M3 Screws (30mm for 20mm vers. / 20mm for 10mm vers.)
- Locate over the silver heat sink and stick to the “Poop Chute” (see image)
- Reinstall Rear Panel
