Project Overview
Create a 15 cm (6-inch) 3D-printed moon lamp using lithophane techniques. Designed with a minimalist disc-shaped base, the lamp offers a stable, stylish look. It works with a 3W or 5W LED bulb with a color temperature of either 4000K or 3000K.


Materials

  • Lamp Base and Bulb: 3W LED (4000K or 3000K); available at Bambu Lab EU Store
  • Filament:
    • Moon Lithophane: Marble PLA (examples: Overture Rock or PolyTerra Marble White)
    • Disc Base: eSun eTwinkling Black PLA

Slicer Settings

  • Moon Lithophane:

    • Layer Height: 0.2 mm, with top and bottom 2 cm at 0.08 mm for quality
    • 7 walls, 3 top/bottom layers
    • Wall generator: Arachne, with a 45-degree threshold angle and 1 percent minimum feature size
    • Cooling: 100 percent
  • Disc Base:

    • Layer Height: 0.2 mm
    • 4 walls, 4 top/bottom layers, 20 percent gyroid infill
    • Cooling: 100 percent, no supports

  • LED Specs: 59 mm x 8 mm, 3W or 5W output, 5V USB with inline switch; available in LED Lamp Kit 001 from Bambu Lab or AliExpress
