✅Looks stupid ✅Works
Had to remove a torx bolt in a tight space under the dash of my e46 (pictured), and couldn't find one of these anywhere in the 3D printing community, so I decided to learn CAD and made this. It's a really odd length (17.1mm) because of the space I was working with, and is made for 6.35mm (1/4 inch) hex shanks at both the male and female ends. Since both ends are the same size, it is infinitely stackable if you need a longer length.
Printed in PLA and SUPRISINGLY strong, so much so that I'm adding it to my toolbox for recurrent use. It also only takes about 15 minutes to print, and is perfect to finish off a spool of filament. Designed around HFT's "ICON Locking Flex Head Ratchet and Bit Set, 35-Piece" (and even fits in its case), but universally compatible.
Make sure to print this laid flat and with supports for best results. I used 20% infill and it was fine, but you could probably play around with it to get even better strength.
Hopefully my first design can come in handy to someone else out there, enjoy!
