Introducing the 240 Collection: A Big Step Forward for GEN2
Today marks a major milestone for the GEN2 Modular System:
The release of the 240 Collection, the first brand new drawer length added to the system in years.
This isn’t just a small update. It’s the largest single-day release I’ve ever done, and it's designed specifically to take advantage of today’s most popular 3D printers, including the Bambu X1C, Prusa Core One, MK4, and just about any printer with a ~250mm build area.
What Is the 240 Collection?
The 240 Collection introduces a new 240mm-long drawer size to the GEN2 ecosystem. This means:
- More usable storage per drawer
- Fully compatible with all previous GEN2 drawers
Whether you're organizing tools, electronics, parts, or hobby gear, these longer drawers give you more storage in a single print without needing to upgrade your printer.

Available in Decor & Classic Styles
Like the rest of the GEN2 system, the 240 drawers are available in two styles:
- Classic Drawers – One-piece designs with built-in handles, ready right off the print bed.
- Decor Drawers – Feature a modular faceplate for customization, dual-material printing, or matching a specific style.
🛠 Two Ways to Build: Table Top or Under Table
The 240 Collection works seamlessly with both GEN2 mounting styles:
🔹 Option 1: Table Top Kits
If you want your drawers to sit on a desk, shelf, or workstation, the Table Top Kit is your best friend. It includes:
- A top cover
- Foot rails for stability
- Optional decor faceplates for a clean, finished look
Table Top Kits are ideal if you want something portable, modular, or just easier to reconfigure. Great for workbenches, hobby desks, or studios.
🔹 Option 2: Under Table (GEN2 Rails)
Need to free up surface space? Mount your drawers underneath with the GEN2 Rail system.
With QuickLock tabs built into every drawer case, you can:
- Slide drawers in and out in seconds
- Reposition or swap drawer sizes without tools
- Expand or shrink your setup as needed
Even better: You can mix and match, use a 240 drawer under the table, a 185 drawer on top, or vice versa. Thanks to the Bi-Directional QuickLock, it all connects.
New Features in the 240 Collection
The 240 Collection introduces two key upgrades designed to improve print success and long-term usability (These are coming to all GEN2 drawers soon):
🧲 Magnet Clip System
Instead of embedding magnets into small, fragile slots, this new design uses a dedicated clip that holds your magnets more securely and works across a wider range of drawer types.
- Easier to install
- More reliable fit
- Works with common 10x2mm or 6x2mm magnets
🌡 Thermal Expansion Slits
Larger prints can sometimes warp, especially when printed near the edge of a build plate. To combat that, 240 drawer cases now include built-in expansion slits along the sides.
These help relieve internal stress during printing and reduce corner lift.
