GEN2 270 Decor Drawer - Quick Start
The GEN2 270 Decor Drawer is part of the GEN2 QuickLock Modular System. This Quick Start covers the essentials. A detailed video walkthrough is coming soon - for now, the full step-by-step guides live on JERRARI3D.com.
What You'll Need
Required
- GEN2 270 Case (matching size)
- GEN2 Decor Faceplate (Matching drawer width and height)
- Filament: PLA works great for most parts; PETG for stronger, more durable builds
Optional
- Magnets (10×2mm or 6×2mm) for soft-close on select configurations
- Printed clips - secures faceplate to drawer, no hardware needed (Included with certain faceplates)
- M3 screws - only if you prefer fasteners over the included printed clips, or are using older v2508 faceplates
Full compatibility list: JERRARI3D.com/gen2-modular-system
Print Notes
- No supports required.
- Drawer bodies print great in PLA - save your premium filaments for the faceplates.
- For larger drawers near the edge of your build plate, clean the sheet with detergent or 99% ISO alcohol to prevent edge curl.
Assembly Overview
1. Print the drawer body: No supports, no hardware needed.
2. Attach the faceplate: Snap the printed clips into the drawer's front interface, then press the faceplate into place. The compliant mechanism holds it firmly - no M3 screws needed.
3. Install in case: Slide the drawer into a GEN2 Case (under-table rail, tabletop kit, or wall mount). QuickLock locks everything in place.
