Leopard 1 is a German made 2nd generation main combat tank. It first entered the service of the German Federal Army (Bundeswehr) in 1965. Mass production started in 1965 by the German firm Kraus Maffei Weggman and continued production until 1984. Apart from Germany, it was produced in Italy. Over 4000 Leopard 1 in total were made in Germany. Used by the armies of Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Greece, Lebanon, and the Turkish. Between 1964 and 1984, 4,744 Leopard 1 soles were produced. With the production of the Leopard 1, Leopard 2, it became an auxiliary tank in many armies and service was taken over time. LEOPARD 1T.
