Need a convenient organizer for all the small bits and pieces while also having empty filament spools just laying around. Sounds like you need a spool organizer.

Most spool organizers are designed to pivot around the spool, but sometimes that's more of an inconvenience. So in this design the compartments are able to extend horizontally just like a drawer.

The build allows for five compartments in one spool, with the top plate acting as a locking plate to ensure the drawer doesn't get completely removed when you pull it out.

a brim of 2 mm is recommended for the base plate and the top. secure the plates to the empty spool using super glue (or any viable alternative) I had used an "esun carboard 1kg PLA spool" be aware that the spool size vary with different brands.
