removed .5mm from the 45 degree area where the m5 bolt to frame and enabled raft for maximum strength and no supports
By any chance this fit the X1? Thanks
By any chance this fit the X1?
I just finished printing these for my X2 and have an issue. If I sit it where the top holes line up with the stepper motor holes then the bottom isn't sitting against the base of the printer and are about 2-3mm too short. Also, the M3x12mm bolt is too long and bottoms out like jtgeek mentioned before. I should have read the comments first before going on a hunt for M3x12mm bolts at Lowes. They only had pan head screws and no socket head cap screws small enough. Here are some pictures of what it looks like. https://imgur.com/bEOpY1o and https://imgur.com/U1hMAR4
So I got around to doing the second lot, did them in abs again, this time I took my time screwing them in lol, long story short, I'm not rushing to make it out of metal as there's no need! These alone have taken 90% of the z wobble out already. Thanks so much for these. Real problem solve right here 👏👏👏
hello again, so i printed the test ones in abs, the holes for the m3's are slighty too far forwards, I had to push support right back and I think the bolts were going in on a slight angle and when I tightened the m5s up it cracked along the top, now it could be just the brittle abs, ill print another pair in petg in a min, but in the meantime, if you can make them elongated like the m5 bolts holes, I think it would be perfect.
Omg thanks so much mate! So fast, thanks heaps ay, I'm going to do a test one out of abs right now so I can show my mate who's going to do it in metal for me. Thanks again for getting back to me so quickly! Really appreciate it
Hi mate, I'm about to get a mate to make this in metal but I need the screw dimensions for the big ones on the bottom if possible please
Ive made the revision, you should be good to make out of metal now.
Before you make it out of metal I need to adjust the hole spacing for the stepper motor side. I will get that done and the model updated this weekend.
M3x12s bottomed out for me. Used M3x8s. M3x10s may have worked, I don't have any.
Big screws are M5
What size are the big screws mate? The ones that bolt to the deck?
