Modular Bolt Organizer
Form = function. A large bolt that can store many bolts inside of itself. Just a fun organizer for storing fasteners and other small tools or consumables laying around your garage.
This is a modular system where an infinite number of nut blocks can be chained together with the joiner.
Every 7th nut block is 16" away (on center) from the 1st, allowing for easy and sturdy mounting to studs in the wall.
Recommended Filament Tough PLA
Print Settings 0.4mm Nozzle 0.2mm Layer Height 15% Infill No Support
Please note that you want the bolt to easily thread into the nut block. On the other hand, the cap should thread a little bit tightly onto the bolt. Please leave a comment on this model if the fitting is too tight or loose for either threading.

wasn't there a YouTube video about this? I thought I saw it a couple years ago but can not find it again. Can you share exact link if so?
have you tried printing this at a larger scale at all? As it is, it is a nice size but I was curious about going to 150% or maybe more. I found this thanks to your YouTube video and thought it would be useful in the mechanic field for teardown and reassembly storage
This thing is way larger than I anticipated but it's pretty cool. Also thanks for explaining the bolt orientation - that'll save 3 hours and the support material
i printed this design one piece at a time with no support, came out great. thanks for sharing
I really want to make a set of these but I am hesitant for only one reason. Is there a way to add a 55˚draft on the underside of the head where the head meets the threads on the outside of the bolt for the sole purpose of eliminating the need for support material? I tried orientating it many different ways but no matter how I place it, it needs support. Enabling conical support and printing the bolt upside-down reduces the amount of support material used, but adding a 55˚ draft would eliminate the need for support. If there is a way to orient the current version bolt to print without support, please advise.
I apologize. I uploaded the wrong orientation for the bolt. It should be printed with the threading up. I updated the bolt.STL to be the correct orientation. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
