These panels are designed to be printed in “vase” or “spiralized” mode to minimize the amount of material needed, decrease print time, and give a smooth clean finish. They could be used as sound diffusion panels, decorations, or just to show off your new gradient filament!

This download includes two sizes of panels with 100mm or 200mm edge lengths. There are two mirrored versions of each panel. See here to learn more about the Hilbert Curve and how to properly orient the tiles: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hilbert_curve
Be sure to print in “vase” or “spiralized” mode! The base is 0.5mm thick. I recommend adjusting your settings so that the base prints in only two layers.
When printed with a 0.4mm nozzle as described above, the 100mm and 200mm panels use only 15g and 57g of filament respectively, meaning that you could cover a 1m x 1m surface with less than 1.5Kg of filament!

Delve into the world of 3D printing with art and entertainment brought to life by designer DaveMakesStuff on Thangs.com. Our featured model, the Square Hilbert Panels – Minimal Height, offers a unique and cost-effective way to enhance your space. These panels are innovatively designed for printing in “vase” or “spiralized” mode, ensuring a minimal amount of material is required while delivering optimal print time and a flawless finish. Use them for sound diffusion or as intriguing decorative objects, they also serve as a vibrant medium to showcase your gradient filament.
This download includes two sizes of panels with both 100mm and 200mm edge lengths, and mirror versions of each, providing you with an array of design possibilities. Experience the mathematical beauty of the Hilbert Curve implemented in these panels and learn how to properly orient the tiles for a visually dynamic pattern.
Print in “vase” or “spiralized” mode for the best results. The base is a scant 0.5mm thick, with recommended settings adjusted for only two layers of print.
The best part? When printed with a 0.4mm nozzle, the 100mm and 200mm panels use just a fraction of filament - only 15g and 57g respectively - allowing you to cover a 1m x 1m surface with less than 1.5Kg of filament! An economical and visually stunning solution for interior design or for simply showing off your 3D printing prowess.
Additional sound diffusion panel designs, including the Topology Tiles - Hex and Square, and models printed with the colorful Sovol Rainbow Candy PLA, further exhibit the diversity and appeal of 3D printed designs.
