The history of the Driders begins with their failure before the Spider Queen, Lolth. As punishment, the Drow were transformed into Driders, creatures with the lower half of their bodies resembling a spider, complete with an abdomen and arachnid legs.
After this agonizing transformation, they became bloodthirsty and physically powerful creatures.
